About Strident Healthcare

We are a team of PhD Psychologists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA), Behavior Technicians, and Administrators that are committed to providing an individualized quality therapy experience at Strident Healthcare. Our mission is to constantly make strides in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to ensure the best possible therapy for our clients. Our goal is to foster each individual child’s growth through evidence based practice. We focus not only on the child, but the entire family in order to ensure success.

Geralyn has spent her career in service to families and children through education and for the last 10 years in autism center administration.

 

She began as a teacher in Detroit, provided educational leadership as an assistant principal and principal in Pontiac before moving on to her work in Autism.  In 2008 She was instrumental in developing the, formerly Children’s Hospital of Michigan Autism Center, now University Pediatricians Autism Centers.

 

Geralyn joins Strident with a wealth of experience in a wide range of initiatives for families affected by autism.

Dr. Krista Clancy is a Licensed Behavior Analyst. She has been practicing in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and autism for the last 25 years. She is currently the ABA Program Director at Wayne State University.  Where she oversees curriculum development as the Verified Course Sequence Advisor, instructor assignment and oversight, and the field placement for all students in the behavior analytic training programs in the College of Education.

 

Dr. Clancy is currently Co-PI on the Michigan Innovations in Care Coordination (MICC) grant (2019-2021) through the Michigan Endowment Fund, where she is working collaboratively with professionals and parents in the field of autism treatment from over 20 different state and local organizations, focused on improving care and access to children with ASD and their families.

 

Additionally, Dr. Clancy was appointed to the State of Michigan Autism Council in 2016 as the University Representative where she has recently been involved in a committee to review the autism state plan and works on the parent engagement workgroup.

 

Dr. Clancy is also a faculty member supporting the Leadership in Education in Neurodevelopment Disabilities (LEND) where she has contributed to the curriculum development and the training of LEND long term trainees along with faculty content experts from six different Michigan Universities.

 

Previously she held the position of Autism Center Director for University Pediatricians (2008-2019), where she was responsible for the training and program development of the ABA treatment and the clinical oversight of the center. During this time, she collaborated with the School of Medicine at Wayne State University to run an interdisciplinary training rotation for over 150 students and residents per year in a variety of medical and clinical programs.

 

She has also been the Principle Investigator or Co-Investigator on state grants and local grants totaling over $1.6 million in 2015-2018 focused on capacity building and support of the autism insurance legislation passed in 2013. Currently her clinical work focuses on consulting with ABA providers to improve services and systems.

Stephanie earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University. While attending the University, she began to work with children and families with special needs. Stephanie continued to help children and their families impacted by autism as a behavior technician after graduation.

 

Stephanie earned her Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis, with a concentration in Autism from Ball State University, then went on to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).  The years of experience in the field of ABA has afforded Stephanie the opportunity to work with individuals of all ages diagnosed with ASD and families impacted by autism.

Catherine earned her bachelor’s degree in Child Development with a minor in Communication Disorders at Central Michigan University. Shortly after graduating, she began working as a preschool teacher. Then was introduced to the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy.

Catherine began her experience within ABA by working in a variety of settings as a behavior technician and later becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). Catherine pursued her passion in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) services by earning her Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University. Following her graduation, Catherine became a Behavior Consultant and is working toward her Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Her experience within the field of ABA has granted Catherine the opportunity to work with many families and individuals diagnosed with ASD.

Intithar earned her bachelor’s degrees in Communications and Public Relations from The University of Michigan – Dearborn. Shortly after graduation Intithar decided she wanted to leave the corporate world and wanted to start doing something more meaningful, this is when she was introduced to the field of Applied Behavior Analysis.

After learning about the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, Intithar started working as a behavior technician and later became a Registered Behavior Technician. During this time Intithar earned her master’s degree in Educational Psychology with a graduate certification in Applied Behavior Analysis from Wayne State University. Intithar has worked as an RBT in both home-based and center-based settings as well as working as a Behavior Consultant upon completing her master's level coursework.
